Please read this review policy before contacting me to send samples or request a sponsored blog post.
I primarily review Chinese tea, as that is where my specialty lies, but I also do investigative reporting and long-form pieces on issues related to tea, as well as anything tea related, including reviews of blended teas, tisanes, teaware(s), etc.
Accepting gifted samples does NOT, in any way, guarantee a published review. I cannot provide timelines for publications (sponsored posts being the exception).
Sponsored posts can be written at a rate of $0.15 cents per word, minimum 500 words. Free tea or guarantees of more free tea are NOT the same as a sponsored post. Sponsored posts can include pieces on what your company is doing to be sustainable, pieces featuring or explaining a certain terroir, discussing ethics and highlighting commitments to ethics, etc.
ALL product reviews, posts, etc. state my honest opinion, regardless of whether or not the item(s) within have been gifted or are on a sponsored post. Content is not altered in any way, shape, or form by brands before publication. Edits may be made after publication, but only due to errors and not to change opinions.
Any and all content, images, etc. produced around gifted sample(s) are my personal property and may not be used without my permission. Media may be licensed with permission- reach out to me for more details.
I AM available for speaking events and tea tastings. If you would like me to speak at your event or to hold a tasting, educational session, etc., please reach out to me to discuss the details.
Freelance work is possible as well; freelance work can include brand consultations, market research, social-media outreach and consultation, etc. I work on a sliding-scale rate for my work, meaning that depending on the intensity of the freelance work, as well as external factors like company budget, my rate varies, but is generally from between $30.00 to $75.00 an hour. This rate accounts for my years of experience working with some of the largest brands in China on marketing to a Western audience as well as the successes of past campaigns for companies.
Tea With Neldon is ultimately a passion project and while the focus of the blog is primarily on education and reviewing true teas (teas made from Camellia Sinensis), I have produced content outside of that scope (i.e. investigative reporting into market manipulation, educational guides and pieces, etc.) and am open to working with you to create the best content possible.
